About Me

I would classify myself as an artist. It took me a while to finally accept that monicker, but that's what I am; AN ARTIST!!! I have a wonderful hubs that supports my "talents" in most all avenues, except maybe when the credit card bill comes in the mail...LOL And I have 4 great kids and 5 beautiful grandchildren that I love to pieces. Come on by and sit a spell and "STAMP 'TIL YA CRAMP!!! & "CROP 'TIL YA DROP!!!"

Hello You....yeah YOU!!!!

Stampin' Up! has two NEW catalogs
 coming out soooooon!!!!
Keep your eyes open for them.

Can I get a WOOP WOOP!!!!

Lots of dimension!!! See below to see how I did it.

Card deets:
Whisper white card stock
Blushing bride card stock
"Painted Petals" stamp set (In new catty)
"Hello you" thinlits (In new catty)
Smoky Slate ink pad

I cut the words "hello" & "you" 3 times each out of Blushing Bride card stock
and then glued two together using multipurpose liquid glue
(which gives you a little play time in order to get them lined up perfectly).
Let that layer dry for just a small amount of time and then add the third layer the same way. It makes an instant chip board look.

Using the larger flower from the stamp set on the bottom of the whisper white piece and then using smaller flowers worked my way up to the top by second stamping to remove
some of the ink to create a lighter look.
I masked off the smaller stamp of 3 tiny flowers to have just one showing and I stamped it just above the end of 'hello' then I added a basic pearl.

Check back later for details on when the new catalogs will be out.
Its withing the next week.
If you want to order one from me....you can click on the
pretty pink wheelbarrow over there ------>>>
and it will take you to my website so you can order both of them.

Until later, youzzzz.....Gotta split......TFL!!!!

Charlie Brown Christmas

I love my Explore and all my Cricut machines and products.
I get so excited when I get time to play in my studio.

The year 2015 will be a year of more playing!!!!

I wanted to share our mantle for this year.....

It was a winner.....according to my 5 grandbabies (aged 2 yrs to 12yrs).
They all loved it!!!
They knew immediately that it was Charlie Brown themed.

I created most of the items with my Explore. (teehee)
I painted a sign from a stencil I created using stencil material.
 Vinyl lettering on Lucy's booth.
Paper wrap on the candles.  Piano and music notes
(which I attached using a strip of acetate) for Schroeders piano.
Skates are paper also.
I purchased a football dog toy.
I ventured out in the woods and cut down a pine sapling to create the tree.
Snoopy's house is a birdhouse I painted and bought the miniature lights from the doll house section of Hobby Lobby.
Woodstock's house was a miniature wooden decor piece.

Hope you enjoyed seeing it at much as my grands did.

Now.....I need to figure out how to create a Leg Lamp for next year.....!!!!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Until later, Chucks.......Gotta split.......TFL!!!!

Aluminum trees..... !!!!

I'm really showing my age with this post.
When I was younger aluminum trees were all the rage; of course,
my parents weren't the
parents that went with all the trends, though.

We still had the traditional tree and when I would go over to friends houses that contained aluminum trees I was in awe.  I loved the brilliance of the lights twinkling on the large metal needles.

I never got to have one myself, so I created some on my card.
They are not quite as bright as the real thing, but I think they look almost as shiny.

I got the tree images from Celebrate with Flourish cartridge.
I trimmed off the bottom of the silver trees to make them flat.

I created this card for two challenge blogs.
this weeks challenge (Christmas beyond red & green)
this weeks challenge (Christmas Tree Challenge)

What fun it was creating this card.
Hope you join in the fun!!!

Until later, elves.......Gotta split.......TFL!!!!

Tag...you're it!!!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog has another challenge and its to
use a tag on your creation.

Well, my creation is a card that is shaped like a tag,
and another tag (velum) on top of that.

I used Serenade Cricut cartridge for the bird cage lobster trap.
Bwahahahahahahahaha....yes even a lobster trap can be FANCY,
well...if I had a lobster trap it would be FANCY!!!!

You can lift up the velum tag and see the other sea life in the vicinity.

This card could be used as a cute dinner invite for a night out of seafood.

Until later,  seafood lovers......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!!

Hugs....???

I would hug this cutie....even if it hurt just a wee bit!!!

I created this for a challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog.

This week its to use 3 different pattern papers.

I used the hedgehog from the cartridge..."Four legged Friends"

I think she's adorable.

Try to find images that you normally wouldn't use and create something FANTABULOUS!!!!

New studio.......YAY!!!!

We moved last September and my studio was in such a disarray it was hard to focus
and actually get anything done.
Now I have NO excuses......Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!

This is facing the front of our house.....so I can see if anyone arrives.
Check out the scissors holding the fabric.
I purchased those at Dollar Tree.  They are plastic and purple.  I hot glue the blades in back so they won't move and also a hanger.  Then I spray painted them white. Hung them at the angle I wanted and then just draped the fabric strip in the blades and waa lllaaa I have a window treatment.

 Most of my stamp sets.

My paints, glues, brushes and individuals stamps.

Paper, paper and MORE paper!  Ha!!

Island I created using two short bookcases and a piece of MDF board.
Storage for most of my embellishments.
There is more storage on the other side.

Finally, I can now enjoy my somewhat clutter free room and find my schtuff!!!

Until later, my craft friends.......Gotta split.....TFL!!!!!

Easter is coming soon.

I hope this egg hatches in time for the big Easter egg hunt.
Either way I can still enter it into several challenges.
BBTB2 has an Easter challenge and
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog has a sketch challenge.

The egg and the egg holder are from Picturesque Cricut cartridge.
I haven't used nearly enough of the images on any of my carts.
So, I'm trying to find some new ones that I can use on projects.

Until later, hunny bunnies..........Gotta split......TFL!!!!

I love you.....

Anyway you say it....
it still means a lot!!!!

I purchased these pencils from Hobby Lobby last year in the
Valentine's clearance.
I always peruse the clearance rack to see what I can use.
I have those large plastic tubs for every holiday and just insert the
items into the tubs until
the next year and open and see what I can give out to the grands.

OK, back to the project.....

I inserted the pencils into these 2" X 8" cello bags (from Stampin' Up!)
I wanted a tag for the top.

I cut a dark pink base at 3-1/4" X 4-1/4"
Scored one inch to make the base an even square of 3-1/4"

Cut the hands from My Community Cricut cart
and the hearts are from George and Basic Shapes Cricut cart.

Adhered the heart in the palm and folded the two fingers down to
create the
I LOVE YOU sign language symbol.
Then adhered the hands to the base layer.

Adhered them to the cello bags with tiny glue dots.

Aren't they adorable.....love 'em.

Until later, lovlies.......Gotta split......TFL!!!!
